McLoughlin’s is proud to be a premier host location for Ultimate Pool USA, the world’s fastest-growing cue sports movement. This isn’t just your average bar league; it’s a mission to modernize the sport, offering a professionally-run platform where passion meets opportunity. From grassroots play to the path toward national glory, the UPL provides a clear pathway for players of all skill levels to compete, grow, and be part of an inclusive, high-stakes community.
As a primary home for the UPL in Queens, McLoughlin's is a major stop on the road to the Grand Finals, where the first-place team will take home a massive $100,000 prize. While our current house teams are at full capacity, the movement is just getting started.

Close out your weekend in the spotlight. Our Sunday Night Karaoke brings the neighborhood together for anthems, drinks, and amateur talent. Sign up with the MC to serenade the bar or grab a pint and cheer on the regulars—it’s the classic pub vibe Astoria knows and loves.

Neighborhood Dart League
Start your week with the sharpest competition in Astoria. With matches running from 8-11pm, McLoughlin’s is home to the local neighborhood dart league every Monday night.
Whether you’re a league pro or just here to watch the bullseyes, the energy is high and the pints are cold. It’s the perfect way to kick off the week with a bit of friendly neighborhood rivalry.
Tuesdays: Free Pool All Night
Every Tuesday starting at 6pm, the racks are on the house. Whether you're here to practice your game or just hanging out with friends, everyone’s welcome to play.
Just throw your name on the board by the table to get yourself in the mix.
Wednesdays:
Training Day Comedy Show
Break up the week with some of the best stand-up in the city. Born in Astoria Park during the pandemic, Training Day Comedy has officially moved indoors to its winter home at McLoughlin’s.
Every Wednesday night, hosts Jared Waters and Farzin Moradi bring a fresh, diverse lineup of pro comics you’ve seen on Netflix, HBO, and Comedy Central. It’s an intimate, high-energy show that gives you a front-row seat to national touring talent right here in the neighborhood.
The Details:
Cost: Free! Seating starts at 7pm. Showtime runs from 7:30 to 9pm.
Pro Tip: This show is a neighborhood staple and seats fill up fast. We recommend heading over early to grab your drinks at the bar before seating begins at 7pm so you’re settled in before the first mic drops.
The After-Party: The laughs wrap at 9pm, but the night doesn't have to end there. Stick around for post-show pints, pool, and darts.
Thursdays:
Neighborhood Bar Pool League
Matches run from 8-11pm as our two home teams face off against rivals from McCaffrey's, Kelly's, Ready Penny, and Moose Lodge.
We’re playing for more than just the standings—it’s about the ultimate neighborhood bragging rights.
Arrive early to get some practice racks in, or stay late to celebrate the win; the table is open for play before and after the league window
